ABOUT DR. HAYDEN HUANG

Dr. Hayden Huang is a licensed acupuncturist and is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCCAOM, Dipl OM).  He has a PhD in Chinese Medicine (DACM) from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine Chicago campus.  Rigorously trained in the art of TCM-style acupuncture, orthopedic acupuncture, moxabustion, Chinese herbology and Tui Na (a form of medical body manipulation therapy).  Over 1,000 hours of clinical training and over 3,000 hours of in class training.  He studied under Dr. Leon Chen of East-West Healing Center, who mentored Dr. Huang for more than 2 years.  Dr. Huang also has a Bachler’s degree in biology from University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign where he did research on the transmission of the West Nile Virus.  Dr. Huang is an amateur writer and translator.  In his spare time, he is working on translations of oriental medicine textbooks into the English language.  His current project is the translation of the Chinese Orthopedic Theory by Dr. Leon Chen.  Dr. Huang hails from a family in the healthcare industry and Chinese medicine – he understands that healing takes a personal and compassionate touch.
